Church Extension Fund (CEF)
(Lutheran Church-Canada members only)

What is CEF?
CEF accounts are set up by fellow believers who serve their Lord by depositing a portion of their savings
to assist others.
Proceeds of the fund permit congregations to receive lower-cost financing
for important and
necessary work.

Why?
The CEF provides low-cost financing to congregations.

Look below to see how easily
it can be done.

Tracky Stamps

For Children.
These 25 cent stamps are pasted into a book. When filled, the book is worth $25.00 and may be used to open a Pass-Book Savings Account and begin
earning interest.

Pass-Book Savings

Deposits can be made in any amount. This account allows flexibility in making deposits and withdrawals anytime.

Notes/Certificates

Deposits ($1000 min.) are held for a minimum 1 year term. At maturity, the initial investment plus interest can be redeemed or reinvested for another term.

Upon request a cheque for the interest can be forwarded and the principal reinvested. If redeemed, the original certificate must accompany your request to close out the account.

CEF REPS: If your congregation has a CEF Representative , please see that Representative for details. CEF Reps perform transactions for you, through a special remittance to the District. If you do not have a CEF Rep, consider finding someone to start a program.

Your deposits don't have to be large amounts. Just like many hands make light work, so too a few dollars from many people make God's kingdom grow with ease.

For direct transactions, please contact the District Office

Gifts To The Church: If you prefer to not receive interest from the church, ask for your investment to be " Interest Free " as many before you have done.

Your CEF savings work hard!
1. Your savings enable congregations to commit to important & necessary work
2. Your savings mean that CEF can offer lower-cost financing to congregations

Plan now to become an investor. Know the joy of helping others fulfill their needs.
